What is Intern Legal Litigation?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Legal Department’s Litigation Team at Jazz headquarters in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in litigation and legal research, possess analytical skills, and have a proactive approach to handling legal matters. This role is an excellent opportunity for a law student or recent graduate eager to gain experience in corporate litigation and learn from industry professionals.

Reporting Structure:

This role reports directly to the Senior Legal Counsel Litigation, with support and guidance from senior legal team members.

What does Intern Legal Litigation do?

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Research & Case Preparation:

  • Assist in researching case law, legal precedents, and statutory materials relevant to ongoing litigation.
  • Support the preparation of legal documents, summaries, and case briefs.

2. Document Management & Compliance:

  • Help maintain organized records of case files, filings, and court documents.
  • Ensure compliance with internal document handling protocols and confidentiality standards.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the litigation team and other departments to gather required information and evidence for cases.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders for case updates and documentation.

4. Court Proceedings & Observations:

  • Attend court sessions with legal team members when required.
  • Observe court proceedings to understand the litigation process and court protocols.

5. Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative assistance, including scheduling, document filing, and coordination with team members to support the litigation team’s workflow.

Key Deliverables:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing litigation documents.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and present findings relevant to ongoing and prospective cases.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in the case management system.
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing case statuses, timelines, and outcomes.

Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a law program (LLB or equivalent).

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong research skills with an ability to interpret complex legal documents and case law.

Communication:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in legal drafting and documentation.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with legal research databases.

Time Management:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments effectively within deadlines.

Attention to Detail:

  • Demonstrated focus on accuracy, organization, and confidentiality in handling legal documents.

Professional Development:
