As a HR Compliance and Legal Intern on the HR and Legal team, you’ll play a pivotal role by ensuring compliance with labor laws and creating consistent practices across our employee base.   
   
In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents. For the HR Compliance and Legal Intern role, we are seeking a candidate with proven attention to detail and strong analytical skills to help advance our compliance and regulatory initiatives. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, this may be an opportunity for you!  
   

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with HR/Legal Regulatory Change Management and policy updates.
  • Attend and observe litigation matters such as depositions.
  • Conduct various HR Compliance audits and analysis.
  • Make updates to the Workplace Safety and Violence prevention program.
  • Support the HR and Legal team with day-to-day compliance tasks.
  • Research and stay updated on relevant labor laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must be a rising Sophmore or Junior
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in HR compliance and legal matters.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
