Job Description of a Financial Systems Analyst Intern

You will work closely with our Financial Systems team and other data-adjacent teams to develop, optimize, and automate workflows that drive business insights and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in cleaning and preparing data, creating automated processes, and assisting with analytics that support strategic initiative advancement. Primary Responsibilities of an Intern - Financial Systems

• Optimize business-critical processes using analytic software solutions (Alteryx, SQL, etc)
• Develop, maintain, and refine Alteryx workflows to automate data analysis processes
• Ensure data solutions are efficient, well-documented, and optimized for performance
• Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Alteryx Server environments
• Support user access management and permissions within Alteryx
• Support data visualization and reporting using Alteryx, Excel, or BI tools (e.g., Looker)
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and data challenges
• Provide recommendations for process automation and efficiency improvements
• Document workflow logic, assumptions, and methodologies for team reference

About You

• Must be qualified to work in the United States - we are not sponsoring any candidates now.
• Studying to achieve a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting/Finance, or a related field
• Alteryx Core Certified (Mandatory)
• Expert-level Excel skills
• SQL experience, combined with visualization experiences in Looker, Tableau, a plus
• Proficient understanding of financial principles and business processes
• Proactive, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented, using these traits to overcome complex knowledge repositories of ES business processes.
• You roll with the punches and can adapt quickly, manage competing projects, and challenge the status quo.
