As a Cybersecurity intern on the Cybersecurity team, you’ll play a pivotal role by supporting the overall initiatives of the program and applying analytical solutions to understanding and managing risk to the organization.   
   
In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents. For this Cybersecurity intern role, we are seeking a candidate with proven analytical competence and outstanding communication skills to help advance the Cybersecurity program. If you are a meticulous, proactive problem-solver with a passion for cybersecurity, this may be an opportunity for you!  
   
Responsibilities:  
  • Support Cybersecurity team initiatives around endpoint security, vulnerability management, security awareness, application security and threat intelligence.
  • Proactively work cybersecurity team tickets and resolve following defined playbooks.
  • Work alongside senior team members to research current trends and analyze existing threats.
  • Attend and actively participate in internal team meetings and meetings with vendors.
  • Assist in monitoring existing alerts and logs to identify potential security issues.
  • Support security awareness program and assist in educating employees about cybersecurity best practices.
   
Requirements:  
  • Must be a rising Sophomore or Junior 
  • Majors Desired: Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Management Information Systems, Risk Management 
  • Academic Exposure to Cybersecurity: Coursework or projects related to basic cybersecurity concepts and principles.
  • Critical Thinking: Shown ability to approach problems logically and seek solutions, even in unfamiliar scenarios. 
  • Effective Communication: Comfortable expressing ideas and asking questions, both in writing and verbally, to ensure clear understanding and collaboration. 
  • Introductory Exposure: Some programming and security tools exposure; basic understanding of network security, operating systems and incident response.
