Job Title: Intermediate Accountant
Location: Hybrid (Toronto, ON)
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 (plus benefits after the probationary period)
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant. With the support of their dedicated Controller and CFO, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to help you thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently process and manage accounts payable (AP) while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Perform general bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including data entry and reconciliations, to maintain financial integrity.
Utilize QuickBooks Online (QBO) to keep financial records organized and up-to-date.
Assist in payroll processing as needed, contributing to a seamless payroll experience.
Prepare insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that drive strategic decisions.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.
Collaborate with the Controller and CFO on various financial tasks and projects, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies, maintaining the company’s commitment to excellence.
Qualifications:
CPA student or equivalent education in accounting; a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in Canada is essential.
Proficient in general bookkeeping and accounting, with QuickBooks Online experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of payables processing is a must.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex information clearly.
Experience with payroll processing is a plus and will be highly valued.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a supportive team environment.
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
