Our unique 5 STARS service:
- Orient staff to philosophy and objectives of nursing services.
- Timely respond to family and resident concerns and complaints.
- Accurately evaluate census development programs; maintain/increase census as needed.
- Conduct interviews for client admission inquiries as well as campus and building tours.
- In collaboration with the community’s leadership team, develop facility policies and procedures.
- Conduct resident meetings; attend and participate in resident activities and family council groups.
- Support strategic planning and direction for the community.
- Perform quality assurance inspections of community programs as needed.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned community programs.
- Assist the Executive Director in preparing the annual operating and capital budget.
- Accurately prepare and review monthly financial reports; analyze income/expense budget and payroll on a monthly basis.
- Support Executive Director in the oversight of financial activities of the community.
- Maintain accurate business records, including financial transactions and client files.
- Ensure contracts are timely, updated, and current.
- Maintain current proficient working knowledge of and comply with all local, state, and federal licensing requirements.
- Monitor trends and changes in practices and legislation regarding assigned programs which could or will impact operations.
- Cultivate and monitor relationships with outside service providers, consultants, agencies and organizations to develop relationships.
- Source, hire, supervise, monitor, evaluate and provide direction to direct reports.
- Assist, guide, and support department managers with associate selection, reviews, evaluations and terminations; approve all hiring and termination decisions.
- Ensure attainment of campus goals through effective utilization of human and financial resources.
- Maintain campus in compliance with all HR policies and procedures, legal and regulatory requirements, and established Company policies and procedures.
- Facilitate meetings and trainings as required. Coordinate and participate in community’s committees.
- Responsible for supporting and representing community at special events, activities, and other assigned functions.
- Market facility including advertising, community involvement, and public speaking. Make calls about fundraising and donations for facility projects.
- Work nights and weekends as needed to meet business needs.
- Perform special assignments, projects, and other duties as required.
As a 5 STARS associate, you:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in a related field required with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in long term care administration.
- Have obtained a current, valid license as a Nursing Facility Administrator (NFA) from the Texas Department of Licensure of Nursing Homes.
- Are able to work nights and weekends and be on-call as required.
- Have proficient working knowledge of budgetary management and development of policies and procedures.
- Have excellent public speaking skills and the ability to successfully communicate in a professional manner.
- Have proficient working knowledge and understanding of the applicable regulatory standards and requirements governing programs and services.
