The Intercompany Lead at NIQ oversees our Global Finance Operations activities related to intercompany transactions. As the Intercompany Lead, you will be responsible for managing intercompany transactions among multiple entities, reconciling global intercompany balances, and acting as a primary conduit among all entities for intercompany transactions and intercompany loans. Reporting to the GFC Intercompany COE Manager you will ensure that all intercompany financial activities are executed accurately and in compliance with international financial regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Management: Oversee the execution and recording of all intercompany transactions, including billing, loans, and settlements. Prepare intercompany journals for new loans, repayments, and interest accruals and ensure their posting into SAP.

Balance Reconciliation: Ensure timely reconciliation of global intercompany balances, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly. Perform consolidated loan reconciliations and intercompany matchbook reconciliations, ensuring no out-of-balance issues at month-end.

Compliance and Control: Maintain robust internal controls over intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain internal process documentation and ensure robust account reconciliations and SOX compliance.

Reporting and Analysis: Provide accurate and detailed reports on intercompany transactions and balances for monthly close processes and audit requirements. Prepare IC aging reports and circulate them globally.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the key point of contact for all intercompany matters, facilitating communication and coordination among various global entities, including working with the GFC Intercompany COE Manager and other finance teams on compliance and governance.

Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve intercompany processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Initiate improvements in transaction processing, such as netting and non-netting payments, and ensure up-to-date system configurations for effective execution of intercompany accounting.

Systems and Tools Management: Coordinate with IT to ensure appropriate system configurations for intercompany accounting. Work on monthly system uploads and reconciliations from local ERP systems to global platforms like EPM.

Audit and Regulatory Support: Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and assisting with IC contract walkthroughs and other audit requirements under the supervision of the Intercompany COE Manager.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Link up with internal audit, business finance (FP&A), revenue controlling, and transverse functions such as facilities, sourcing, HR, and legal to ensure integrated and compliant operations across the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is a must.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting with a significant focus on intercompany accounting in a multinational corporation.

Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of accounting principles and expertise in financial software and ERP systems, particularly those related to intercompany functions.

Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of financial data and extract meaningful insights.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial transactions and preparing financial reports.

Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with multiple teams across different geographies.
