Job Description 

As an Integration Engineer at Butterfly Enterprise, you will be a key contributor in the post-sale implementation of our Butterfly Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) solutions, including non-Butterfly ultrasound units and workflow features. This role is essential in serving our large enterprise customers globally, where you will ensure the seamless integration of various systems, software, and processes within the healthcare technology environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of POCUS workflows across hospital departments and be skilled in DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and SSO integrations.

  • Collaborate effectively with customer IT departments for the integration of Butterfly devices, POCUS solutions, and non-Butterfly ultrasound units.
  • Participate in creating and executing project plans in coordination with the Butterfly Project Manager and customer implementation teams.
  • Engage in customer interactions, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including technical and clinical teams.
  • Conduct and assist in training sessions for customers on the Butterfly Product ecosystem.
  • Provide support in resolving complex issues related to DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and SSO integrations, collaborating with the Butterfly Tier 3 Support and Customer Service Teams.
  • Manage and adapt to change activities during implementation projects, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring efficient resolution and system reliability.
  • Escalate complex project issues as necessary, maintaining effective communication and collaborative problem-solving approaches.
  • Perform a broad variety of tasks in support of the role and responsibilities.

Qualifications 

  • 3-6 years of experience in Medical Informatics, with hands-on experience in the use or administration of medical information systems like RIS, PACS, VNA, or EMR solutions.
  • Proficient in interoperability between medical devices and healthcare IT systems, with a solid understanding of FHIR and SSO.
  • Experience with healthcare data integration and interoperability platforms, with a preference for Mirth (NextGen Connect).
  • Competent in managing and integrating medical imaging data, with experience in platforms like Ambra Health.
  • Proficient in JavaScript and a good understanding of JSON for interface coding and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows in a medical imaging environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for additional relevant industry certifications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical mindset, and adaptability.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A customer-focused approach and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Location

At Butterfly we offer a hybrid work environment. For most employees, this means part time in the office (two or more days a week). Based on functional responsibilities and equipment needs, certain roles will require full time on-site support, and select roles will be eligible to be remote.

This is a hybrid position that can be based in Burlington, MA or New York City, NY

Compensation 

The estimated salary for this role based the Burlington, MA office is between $100,000 - $110,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
