The Role

This position will work as a member of IDIADA Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. Pune to support vehicle level testing for Reliability tests performed in-house and at external test sites. The primary objective of this role is to be responsible for the concerns that arise from whole vehicle and component testing activities. This will be done through conducting vehicle level tests, including extreme environmental tests, in accordance with test plans and test procedures and communicate test results to internal engineering teams for successful validation. The successful candidate for this position must have a broad background in automotive vehicle level testing.

Responsibilities

• Support Testing team for instrumentation of vehicles during project plan
• ADAS Knowledge and instrumentation
• To know about the instrumentation and installation
  • Vector logger
  • IPETRONIK
  • eDaq logger
  • Sensor Knowledge
    • Accelerometers
    • LVDT
    • Strain gauge
• Vehicle driving and check the instrumentation working.
• Driving on open road and proving ground
• Schedule dynamic evaluations at milestone inspections
• First point of contact regarding the status of durability passenger / commercial vehicles.
• First point of contact from techs regarding vehicle plans
• Manage parts replacement from damaged test parts
• Review driver comments
• Manage vehicle specification documentation
• Oversee vehicle test preparation & teardown activities
• Give feedback to drivers and techs regarding processes and driver comments.
• Durability tests - process improvements
• Assist with the creation of work instructions / toolbox diagnosis tools
• Updating procedures and plans for upcoming durability tests  
• Test reports preparation

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Diploma candidate also okay with max. experience
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of automotive experience in Reliability Testing
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Candidates must have the ability and willingness to travel PAN India and Out of India
• Hands on experience on Instrumentation installation and checking.
• Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in vehicle maintenance.
