Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Instructional Designer/Content Developer to join our team on a fixed term basis (6 months). The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging and effective learning experiences and will be responsible for developing storyboards, reviewing content, collaborating with multimedia developers, and planning new instructional materials. This role requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Storyboard Development: Create detailed outlines of the content and structure for learning modules and video tutorials, ensuring they are engaging and effective.
Content Reviews: Review and evaluate instructional materials, including e-learning modules and multimedia assets, to ensure they are accurate, clear, and aligned with learning objectives.
Collaboration with Multimedia Developers: Work closely with multimedia developers/designers to integrate engaging and effective visuals, animations, and other interactive elements into instructional materials.
Planning of New Content: Analyze current instructional materials to identify gaps or missing content and add it to production plans in alignment with product releases and demand.
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Analyze existing media content, perform functionality testing, and identify values in preparation for storyboarding/scripting.
- Create content storyboards with script/text for narration, outlining the sequence of information, interactions, and media elements for effective communication and learner engagement.
- Prepare demo accounts to support storyboard content and structure.
- Review ready products and collaborate with multimedia developers to incorporate any needed changes.
- Prepare content for publishing on YouTube, including descriptions, timestamps, and additional resources.
- Ensure timely content delivery in alignment with demand and the content development project plan, assessing priorities to adjust content rollout plans as needed.
- Attend GTM meetings and study new releases to stay up-to-date on new functionality and ensure subject-matter expertise and deep knowledge of the platform.
You’ll achieve your best if you have:
- Proven experience in instructional design and content development.
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in storyboarding and creating scripts for e-learning content.
- Familiarity with multimedia development tools and techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
You will stand out with:
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in e-learning and instructional design.
- Experience in preparing content for online platforms such as YouTube.
- Familiarity with functionality testing and media content analysis.
