Instructional Designer

At Buckner, we are looking for a talented and friendly Instructional Designer to lead Buckner’s implementation of talent optimization strategies and programs. This role will drive excellence and ensure training program results are aligned with Buckner’s mission, vision, and values.

This is a hybrid position in Dallas, TX.

Five-Star Service at Buckner International:

  • Reporting to the Director of Talent Management, the Talent Development Instructional Designer will support talent management and employee experience initiatives to support Buckner’s team member development.
  • Creates and implements training and leadership development programs. Collaborate with stakeholders to determine learning needs using sound instructional design expertise, conduct scoping and analysis, prioritize projects, and recommend deployable learning solutions.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and continuously improves on solutions.
  • Develops eLearning courses, training videos, assessments, job aids, implementation guides, workshop presentations, and participant and facilitator guides.
  • Partners with the Director of TD, organization leaders, and LMS Administrator to manage certification course mapping, including leadership development programs, annual required training, and orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Manages and facilitates virtual learning programs.
  • Manages administrative responsibilities related to the execution and delivery of training events and the culture team.
  • Develops and maintains a digital community of practice for our culture teams, including engagement toolkits, employee programs, and events focused on engagement, recognition, and workplace culture.

The Five-Star Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in HR, Learning & Development, Organizational Behavior, or similar.
  • Knowledge of contemporary practices in adult learning theory and curriculum development.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in training and leadership program development.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions and workshops.
  • Experience Articulate 360, Excel, and Adobe Suites.
