About the Job

As a faculty Instructional Coach, you are responsible for providing professional development, training, and ongoing support to an assigned group of faculty. Your role is crucial in enhancing the teaching capabilities of faculty, ensuring they deliver high-quality education, and promoting effective instructional methodologies. By offering personalized coaching and facilitating workshops, you will ensure faculty members optimize their online teaching skills, employ teaching technologies, and create engaging and impactful learning experiences for students. Reporting to the Director of Faculty Development and as part of a team, you maintain accurate faculty records and provide regular reports.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

1. Master’s degree required.
2. 5 -10 years of online and adult-focused teaching experience preferred.
3. Record of high performance as a Master Teacher in the andrological approach.
4. Confidence to effectively work with experienced and inexperienced faculty and professionals in their respective fields of expertise to improve teaching effectiveness.
5. Strong knowledge of online learning technologies, learning management systems, and educational software. (e.g. Brightspace, Grammarly, Perrla, Kaltura, and Turnitin.)
6. Technological proficiency and adaptability to stay current with advancements in educational technology and standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, etc.)
7. Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging and effective training sessions and workshops
8. Ability to integrate their Christian worldview and biblical perspective into their coaching. Passion for Christ-centered higher education and dedication to the integration of faith and learning.
9. Keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, effective project management skills, and an ability to meet deadlines.
10. Superior oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills. High level of collaboration and teamwork skills.
11. Ability to track and analyze data.
12. Ability to ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.

Key Job Duties

1. Contribute to CCU’s mission: Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth. In this role, the Instructional Coach contributes to the University’s mission by directly contributing to the quality of Christ-centered higher education received by CCU students. 
2. Develop and deliver customized individual training sessions, workshops, webinars, and professional development opportunities to educate faculty on effective online teaching practices, complex instructional strategies, and CAGS standards of teaching performance using a multimodal approach
3. Review and evaluate faculty performance and provide trend analysis and critical insight.
4. Review new faculty mentor evaluations and establish professional growth goals with new faculty.
5. Provide regular reports to the Director of Faculty Development regarding faculty performance data.
6. Provide ongoing support and training to faculty regarding teaching experiences, university policy, and procedures.
7. Provide effective servant/shepherd leadership among affiliate faculty.
8. Periodically collaborate with CAGS Academic Affairs staff and Curriculum Development staff on program learning goals, curriculum objectives, and best practices for course delivery, as assigned by Director.
9. Work effectively and positively with administrators, other faculty colleagues, and support staff to establish and maintain effective positive working relationships.
10. Attend regular meetings, committee meetings, and training sessions as directed by the Director of Faculty Development.
11. Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends. Colorado Christian University expects all faculty and staff to become a part of the University community by participating in activities and events that occur on the campus throughout the year, which may occur during evenings and weekends.

Colorado Christian University’s pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity; along with budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. Pay will be assigned based on relevant experience at a range of $56,000 - $61,000. We reserve the right to pay an equitable rate that we believe is within our salary structure or that may fit a candidate’s qualifications or experience for the job. A wage range posted is not a guarantee of a specific wage range for a job offer.
