Install Base Marketing Manager

Summary

IFS is seeking a competent, self-directed Install Base Marketing Manager. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of the IFS and IFS’s customer GTM strategy and work directly with the IFS marketing team to develop and deliver marketing programs that acquire new customers, as well as retain and grow existing customers. You will be accountable for working with our global marketing team to design messaging and enable campaign strategies to help grow the IFS customer network. You will be part of the install base marketing team for the North America team participating in regular team calls, in-person meetings, and planning sessions. You will also act a key marketing contact, defining the regional strategy as well as building and executing annual joint marketing plans and programs. You will create the install base marketing strategy, execute and monitor campaigns, including being an expert resource on install base process, guidelines, and compliance for internal marketing teams.

 The ideal candidate has experience in B2B enterprise technology marketing, an entrepreneurial spirit, and has successfully managed to install base marketing and build top of funnel pipeline.

  • Create strategies and plans that focus on upselling and cross-selling into our customer base with a 'Customer4Life' mentality
  • Leverage a broad and appropriate mix of marketing programs - events, direct and digital marketing - to maximize awareness, relevancy, consideration, and adoption of IFS solutions within customer accounts
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with customers through direct and indirect communications and strategies
  • Develop and execute new, unique, and effective ideas that make IFS part of the fabric of the customer organization

  • Manage program execution against defined timelines and within budget; set appropriate KPIs and track measurements to determine impact and ROI
  • Manage to program results … pivot if a campaign/tactic is not working
  • Meet marketing targets within the approved budget
  • Execute IB campaigns
  • Propose and get leadership buy-in on targets
  • convey the success of campaigns to corporate
  • Create campaigns/tactics to support the user community and targets
  • Build User Group "Followership" thru Effective Communications
  • Coordinate user group community outreach with each respective AEs (lock step in communication)
  • Uncover $X pipeline revenue based on user group interaction
  • Use judgment with messaging and amount of communication with customers
  • Identifying customer sat issues, working with the AEs to turn them into opportunities
  • Leverage the community site to capitalize on user group and customer communication
  • Amplifying Customer Success
  • Work with regional and central customer advocacy teams to expand the NA Customer Reference program
  • Leverage the user group community to meet the GPI 5 star target
  • Identifying customer sat issues, working with the AEs to turn them into opportunities
  • Leverage the user community to increase customer stories/videos
  • Execute welcome and go-live kits that introduce them to the IFS ecosystem (including the user group community)
  • Internally amplify new customer wins
  • Support Customer Events
  • Work with the central and regional teams to optimize IFS Unleashed 
  • Project manage the regional aspect of IFS Unleashed
  • Strategize and project manage regional IFS user group meetings, IFS Connects, some internal meetings, etc. 
  • Possess an expert understanding of how to drive business and marketing with and through the customer ecosystem
  • Experience in B-to-B marketing leadership most specifically in the area of business software applications
  • Experience leveraging a broad range of demand-generation marketing tactics such as digital, tradeshows, business development teams, email marketing, third-party programs, etc. 
  • Accomplished range of skills from high-level strategic thinking to creative and execution
  • Experience in any of the following industries would be a plus (not required): Manufacturing, EC&I, EU&R, Aerospace & Defense, or Field Service Management
  • Demonstrate ability to tie marketing programs to ROI metrics
  • Strong team player, motivated to work collaboratively across a variety of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of industry tools including Marketo, Outreach, CRM, LinkedIn, PowerBI, etc. 
  • Professional-level presentation and written communication skills
  • Recommended 7+ years of experience in leading marketing and communications
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills and is a pro-active self-starter
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Able to simplify/synthesize complex data from a variety of sources and then communicate solutions in a simple, fresh perspective that clearly outlines the roles and deliverables of marketing channels
  • Possesses analytical mindset and innate curiosity, valuing research, insight, metrics, and data-driven decision-making
  • Develops positive relationships across all levels of seniority cross-functionally, leveraging communications and project management skills to ensure consistency and alignment between all stakeholders internally and externally
  • Maturity, confidence, and perspective to manage quick/unexpected transitions or conflicts to successful resolution
  • Must be comfortable in a high-performing, fast-paced environment, can adapt quickly to support the development of content and decision-making in rapidly developing, time-sensitive situations
  • Ability to travel as needed; limited travel required
