Inspection Engineering Lead

We're looking for an Inspection Engineering Lead for our Team operating in Oil&Gas field.

The candidate should have at least 15 years experience in Inspection Engineering Management. 

 

Job summary

The Inspection Engineering Lead shall ensure the execution of the head office inspection engineering activities according to contractual requirements and project objectives in terms of safety, quality, budget, and schedule.

Supervise the execution of design activities relevant to QA and QC Certification, HSE system control, Inspect-ability, integrity, and risk-based Criteria for cost effective and safe operation in the relevant field of interest.

Take into account the asset integrity principle in order to properly drive the inspection engineering design homework to build a robust inspection management system to be used during operation phase.

The Inspection Engineering Lead regularly reports to project manager the status of the activities, highlighting areas of concern.

 

Typical work activities

  • Reviews contractual documentation.
  • Confirms the assigned budget and technical scope.
  • Verifies that the inspection requirements are accounted for into engineering documents.
  • Takes part in project planning and scheduling.
  • Prepares and keep up to date the inspection engineering execution plans (including the mobilization of personnel).
  • Supervises the preparation of the inspection procedures and the inspection plan development to meet local regulations and RBI analysis outcome.
  • Lead baseline inspection and RBI programs
  • Knowledge of RBI software and inspection management system used within the framework of AIMS.
  • Identifies the project requirements and constraints and participates to ROKM sessions related to inspection activities.
  • Takes part in the project review meetings to make sure that the inspection engineering requirements have been duly complied with.
  • Ensures the preparation and checking of the Purchase Requisitions (RdA) for service provider scope and technical evaluation falling within own sphere of responsibility.
  • Reviews the 3D Model for compliance with the inspect-ability requirements.
  • Ensures the respect of the budget.
  • Ensures the verification of the KPI during the home office design activity.
  • Reports activities, progress, concerns, and issues to the Project Manager.
  • Manage and liaise client project inspection counterpart to guarantee the project execution will be within the contractual boundary and budget.

 

Technical skills

Advanced Knowledge of Project and Team management, planning and scheduling.

Good knowledge of:

  • Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology and software (API certification will be considered as plus),
  • NDT inspection methods for static pressurized equipment and piping (Certification in NDT techniques will be considered as a plus),
  • Baseline Inspection (BSI) program,
  • Asset Integrity Management Strategy (AIMS) program,
  • Inspection planning.
  • Fully aware of oil & gas plant related design documentation and drawings, which may include: 3D model, plot plan, P&IDs, PFDs, Line list, GA drawings, mechanical data sheets, vendor manuals, procedures, etc. Basic knowledge of Naviswork 3D Model software will be considered as plus.
  • Expert of MS Office package. Ability to work with 3D software application, i.e., Naviswork Freedom and PDF editor, i.e., Power PDF Advanced.

The candidate possesses interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, the candidate should have an open mindset to change, continuous improvement and learning. Finally, trustworthy behavior consistent with what is stated, the ability to model one's approach to different counterparts, and the ability to gather, understand, and share information complete the candidate's profile.

  • Working hours: 8x6
  • Duration of the contract: 12 months (extendible)
