What you'll do
The Insider Risk Business Engagement Specialist will participate in efforts to grow Experian’s global Insider Risk Management Program, which is part of the Cyber Fusion Centre. The Insider Risk Business Engagement Officer reports to the Insider Risk Business Engagement Officer and conducts research into department products, services and processes to find and address unique risks and implementing data loss prevention (DLP) governance.
The Insider Risk Business Engagement Specialist must have experience with risk reduction,, and the ability to establish and maintain trusted partnerships with partners.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
- Champion data loss strategies including uncovering data exfiltration use cases, elevating risk to proper corporate visibility, and pursuing end to end solutions for risk mitigation delivery
- Perform deep inspection of technologies, processes used for risk detection, mitigation, and response
- Working with the Business Engagement Officer, engage with security, functional partners, and senior business unit leadership to gain full understanding of the control environment, from procedural to technical
- Work with the Business Engagement Officer to provide solutions for identified gaps to ensure that controls are identified, defined, designed, implemented, performed, and monitored
- Assess relevant risk management and controls across regional departments and globally at Experian
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of business engagement processes, outcomes, and metrics
- Respond to insider risk incidents, those involving data loss
- Develop and enhance insider threat use case scenarios
- Create, deliver, and promulgate insider risk awareness, including latest trends and patterns, to foster a security culture of shared responsibility, accountability, and vigilance
- Remain aware of new technologies and practices to continually challenge the status quo of Experian’s risk and control program concerning insider risk and data loss
- Identify opportunities to improve the capability and accuracy of insider threat detection through lessons learned
- Experience mitigating insider threats and managing insider risk by using UEBA and DLP tools.
- Use SIEM expertise building correlation searches, dashboards, and other knowledge objects from scratch to detect insider risk or display information of interest
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Experience in implementation of cybersecurity, network defense, and investigative frameworks.
- Knowledge of SOC environment methodology to include threat monitoring, intrusion detection, incident response, and analysis.
- Spot anomalies and patterns, conduct link analysis, and draw relevance to the enterprise.
- Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, including types of adversaries, campaigns, and how insider and cyber threats are fueled.
- Certifications- ITPM, GCITP, CISSP, GCIH, SANS, GIAC preferred.
