The role

The European team is looking for talented and motivated sales people to grow our business out of our office located at the heart of Paris. The team is growing fast as GoCardless solves a key challenge for all businesses: getting paid faster. This role is a unique opportunity to participate in the massive growth we’re seeing in France and to join a rapidly expanding team.

  • Closing multi-territory, multi-year deals with fast growing companies
  • Identifying a set of accounts that meet this criteria
  • Developing account plans, working with stakeholders in marketing to deliver those plans and building your network within those accounts
  • Selling the value of our global payments platform and then developing opportunities through negotiation and contract closure

As an Inside Sales Representative, we want to give you all of the tools and skills you need to succeed and thrive. We run frequent sales training sessions across a range of topics - from best outreach practices to negotiation skills. In addition, you will be encouraged to identify skills you want to improve and we'll work with you to develop a plan to improve them

Our customers are domestic and international companies who need to take one off and recurring payments via a Bank Account. In order to navigate a path to mutual success, you will need to develop a good understanding of our solution, the business value, and technical fit and its relationship to our customers’ existing systems. Your target customers will be small to medium businesses HQ’d across Europe, specifically across industries such as Accounting and Bookkeeping, Gyms and Fitness, Franchise Groups, SaaS and more.

The ideal candidate wants to have a significant impact and is ready to deal with the ambiguity present in fast growing environments and new markets. By evangelising GoCardless and the wider payments industry , you are able to educate and then get customers excited by our product.

  • Sales experience in a B2B environment 
  • Experience with sales software and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM)
  • Experience in cold calling, lead qualification, and managing sales pipelines
  • Understanding of the sales process and customer dynamics
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build relationships and engage clients effectively
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Technical aptitude to quickly learn product specifications and sales tools
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Goal-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Self-motivated and proactive in reaching out to potential clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and strategies
  • Experience selling to CxO, and especially SMB founders and CEO’s 
  • A consultative style and the ability to become a trusted advisor.
