Role Purpose
Each of Ad Intel Internationals Clients’ services are customised. No service is the same as another. The Input and Validation Expert is the point of contact within Operations for any technical requirements in regards to Clients (BAU or FTD), new data and any User Acceptance Testing to be carried out for a process (Client or Internal).
This includes support for both the Nielsen & TCS Teams and also transfer of non-technical language from Operations to Application Development to resolve an issue. It is a key skill as they need to have technical knowledge of the database backend and have SQL developer experience to be able to pull and read the data from the database to assist other team members who have less technical expertise.
The candidate must also be able to speak with stakeholders in daily stand up calls and have experience working in Agile developments taking part in sprint planning processes and taking on work to support the business in these phases.
The specialist will also be responsible for testing new data from all of our key suppliers making sure it fits the requirements for data loading, they will need to understand the formats we have and have experience in handling large data files often in excess of 600,000 rows or more and checking not only format but also the content that fits with the Ad Intel International backend and the 7 different data formats the data can be sent in.
Understanding of how data lakes work and how data is set up and pulled is required as in Ad Intel this is a growing source of where data is coming in from.
This can also involve conversations via video call with suppliers who are unable to produce our format so are giving support on what's needed to correct using their experience in relational databases.
In Ad Intel International the client has two reporting databases. Within the role of an Input and Validation specialist they will need to set these up for clients to use. They must be competent in using logical filters, AND & OR expressions using this for multiple conditions to ensure correct data is given to the client. Experience is essential in logical filtering for this role.

- Collaborating with Technology bringing ideas from the operations team and translating terminology between the two teams to aid both.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Workflow Management
- Data testing of new data from existing suppliers and new suppliers
- Set up new countries on Oracle for the TCS team to use
- Collaborate with the Tech Ops team to undertake any User Acceptance Testing that is required that fits into the Ad Intel International Scope
- Add new clients onto W+/Portfolio delivery platform
- Work with the coordinators and managers in the team to troubleshoot and streamline processes where applicable
- Where required, participate in giving feedback to the Client Liaisons on feasibility requests from commercial.
- Be a support for the Ops team on technical queries
- Assist the TCS team with loading questions
- Effectively escalate major issues to the Operations manager
- Training of peers and TCS Team.
Application Testing
- Where applicable take part in User Acceptance Testing to check work carried out by Tech Ops is suitable for the operations team
