ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The Innovation and Standardization Manager is a critical expert role to lead and support the apparel platform innovation through connecting with innovation and global apparel operation sites, bringing in state of the art technology from the market and industry, and support the process standardization across global operations by focusing on improving the service, productivity, quality and sustainability for designated Apparel product lines.
Key responsibilities include (for designated product line platforms)
Platform and Process Innovation
- Partner with Apparel sites to identify innovation opportunities and development requirements
- Owner of new manufacturing platforms by working with innovation organization as an customer
- Submit development requests to Innovation and receive new platforms
- Scout and develop new manufacturing platforms as well as end to end processes
- Define and release solution for global deployment through testing, validation and optimization
Standardization
- Manufacturing Process Standardization - implement and manage standards, SOP’s
- Standardization Improvement Projects - to address gaps and improve performance
- Ongoing Operation Standardization - to address gaps and improve performance
The primary internal customer of the Innovation and Standardization leads are the regional and site operations leaders. The regional and site operations leaders are ultimately responsible for management of the ongoing standardization and performance within their operations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Collaborate with apparel Woven & PFL sites and internal different functions to identify innovation opportunities, development needs and targets.
- Submit development requirements to innovation organizations and receive new platforms.
- Scout new manufacturing technologies from the market and industry with suppliers and 3rd parties.
- Develop new manufacturing platforms or end to end processes to advance manufacturing capability and performance.
- Lead and drive the testing and validation for new Woven & PFL solutions.
- Dive into technical details to anticipate risks of the new solution, assess, mitigate and manage accordingly.
- Define and report out validation results before global deployment.
- Define and release solutions for deployment through a structured commercialization process.
- Demonstrate technical expertise as consultant for global Woven & PFL technical support.
- Lead and drive standardization initiatives to achieve desired business results.
- Drive improvement of global operating guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and security policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- BS in engineering related to electronics, operations technology, software development, or automation - or equivalent training.
- Minimum of 8 years experience working in a manufacturing environment, including hands-on experience with manufacturing operations, technologies or automation.
- Experience and demonstrated success in leading, implementing or developing technologies and process improvements in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of the apparel industry and Woven & PFL technologies.
- Solid critical thinking and questioning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across global functions with proven interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and maintain focus to key priorities.
- Ability to learn new concepts and processes quickly, with a desire to learn.
- Ability to see interdependencies across deliverables and milestones.
- Ability to travel when required to support business needs.
