Innovation Leader Within Supply Chain Development

Full-Time

As an Innovation Leader you will be part of a team dedicated to logistics & fulfilment innovation, scouting and equipment development in IKEA Intralogistics, part of Supply Chain Development.

As an Innovation Leader you will be responsible for:

  • Working across different parts of IKEA with varied partners and stakeholders leading a broad range of assignments.
  • Driving and managing methodology, ideation, and research activities.
  • Leading, coordinating, and holding together the Explore & Create phase of the innovation process (DNS) from an Intralogistics innovation scope perspective.
  • Taking the lead within the team in rapid experiments, early prototyping, simple testing, and benchmarking.
  • Support our partners with the preparation of the Innovate and Create phase of the innovation process (DNS).
  • Securing ways of working in relation to documentation, budget, communication, and governance.
  • Leading additional assignments connected to the service offer of the innovation team.

Innovation is a mindset more than a list of tasks. As a leader for the innovation process, you need to be open to change, embrace change and be able to lead change. You are willing and able to challenge reality with critical thinking, in a constructive and structured way. You have the capability to communicate complex situations in a simple way to a broad audience and work with innovation topics, as well as guiding others in these processes. It appears natural to you to have the courage and ability to speak up and work proactively. Last but not least, you find energy in navigation the unknown and are able to see a structure where nothing is apparent.

As we are a logistics and fulfilment focused team, you will have a higher chance to succeed if you have:

  • An educational background or matching experience in supply, logistics, warehousing supply chain or equipment development.
  • Proven experience in innovation focused environment
  • Experience with “leading in the unknown”
  • Experience with project management and facilitation of work for large groups

This position can be based either in Älmhult, Sweden or Dortmund, Germany
