Location: Spalding, PE12 6BL - 1 day per week

Our Infrastructure Engineers are part of a diverse team that includes network, Linux, and cybersecurity engineers, all located across different sites. The main responsibilities include supporting IT infrastructure across the entire business, ensuring reliable operation and addressing infrastructure needs. They act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the specific site they are based at, providing both remote and hands-on physical support. Participating in the implementation of new projects and innovative solutions to improve infrastructure and IT services. They also collaborate with other squads and tribes to maintain secure, efficient, and resilient infrastructure whilst supporting cross-site initiatives to ensure consistent IT practices and solutions throughout the organisation.

What you’ll do 

  • Maintain and monitor the infrastructure across multiple sites, including networks, servers, and storage, to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, hardware, and software issues while providing advanced support to the IT Engineering Team.
  • Identify potential risks, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within the infrastructure, offering proactive solutions and recommendations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end users and stakeholders as required, ensuring smooth operation and issue resolution.

Who you are

  • Strong network expertise, with Cisco Meraki and Fortigate experience being a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware and associated hardware, with vSAN experience being a bonus
  • Proven track record as an Infrastructure Engineer, providing support across multiple sites.
  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools, such as OKTA, Entra ID, and similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, including Intune, Kandji, or equivalent solutions.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure.
  • In-depth experience with various network services, including DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, and more.
  • Knowledge of SAN storage technologies, including protocols like SMB and iSCSI.
