Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee teams and third-party vendors managing data center operations, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and power/cooling systems.
- Resource Allocation: Provide guidance on resource planning and capacity management to optimize data center resources and scalability, implementing industry best practices.
- Server Deployment & Configuration: Supervise server deployments, hardware upgrades, and software installations, ensuring configurations meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
- Network Management: Manage network equipment configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting; implement security measures to prevent unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Storage Administration: Oversee storage systems, resource provisioning, data replication, and backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security policies, implement access controls and intrusion detection systems, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and data privacy standards.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans, backup procedures, and failover mechanisms to ensure operational resilience.
- Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor teams, assign tasks, provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Documentation & Change Management: Ensure accurate documentation of data center configurations and processes; adhere to change management protocols for infrastructure updates.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, streamline workflows, and stay updated on industry best practices and technologies.
Requirements:
- Experience: 12+ years in IT, preferably in the retail industry, with experience in building and managing IT solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud services).
- Deep understanding of IT systems (programming languages, operating systems, IT platforms).
- Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and develop teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong skills in analyzing issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication in Arabic and English; strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Business Acumen: Ability to align IT solutions with business needs and objectives.
- Ethical Practices: Commitment to quality, accountability, and ethical project management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in infrastructure and IT operations.
- Proven expertise in managing end-to-end IT operations.
- Experience overseeing third-party vendors in managing storage systems, provisioning storage resources, and configuring storage arrays.
- Skilled in implementing various IT solutions.
