The Taylor facility will boost the production of semiconductor solutions that will power next-generation technologies in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and high performance computing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

The shift Control Room Operator (CRO) is part of the primary response team for Infra Electrical. The CRO, alongside a second CRO, will monitor and control the electrical distribution system in the CCR (Central Control Room) via eFMCS (Electrical Facilities Monitoring & Control System). The CRO will coordinate the shift team, which includes shift electricians to physically investigate any issues, including alarms and warnings. They will be the primary communicators for any incidents.

This is a full time position. Employee is assigned to a Compressed Work Week (CWW) schedule, designated C, work a 12-hour shift, either three or four days per week depending on the shift rotation. The CWW shift begins at 6:00 AM and ends at 18:00 PM each scheduled day.

Specific Job Duties:

Monitors a variety of electrical distribution equipment such as Variable Frequency Drives, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Diesel Generators, Breakers, High, Medium, and Low Voltage Buses, Relays, and other electrical equipment.
• Monitor electrical rooms via cameras.
• Log Maintenance items being performed during shift.
• Operate remote breakers and/or coordinate switching operations as necessary to provide reliable power to site stakeholders.
• Coordinate with other departments to troubleshoot issues, turn on/off loads, and communicate as necessary.
• Complete Qualified Electrical Worker based training that is required to perform electrical work at site.
• Take part in LSM and LQM activities to improve onsite safety and quality.
• Take part in shift turnover briefs, which should include, but not limited to: actions performed during shift, any abnormal conditions, and outstanding action items.
• Be an active contributor to site electrical safety improvements and improve the team’s NEC 70E level of knowledge.
• Provide technical assistance to junior team members as needed.
• Coach less experienced members of the team to improve overall level of knowledge and job satisfaction.
• Identify and pass on any procedural, equipment, and personnel items requiring supervisor or management attention.

Shift: C Shift - Scheduled for 12 hour shift, Thurs – Sat & alternate Wednesdays (Days)

Skills and Qualifications:.

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required:

• High School Diploma or GED is required; with some college or trade school preferred, apprentice work/study program is a positive.
• Texas Electrician License, Journeyman, college degree, or other related experience/education preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:

• Strong knowledge of the NEC 70E as it applies to industrial installations.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution system and single line diagrams
• Knowledge of standard practices of the Electrical trade
• Prefer OSHA 30 training.
• Experience and training in the use of digital multimeters to read Voltage, Current (Amps), and Resistance
• Ability to use testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes and thermal imagers.
• Microsoft Office
