Texas Health Action seeks an IT Support Specialist to assist in maintaining our IT infrastructure, user accounts, and applications. Reporting to the Director of IT, you will collaborate with IT staff and our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure optimal system uptime. You will also provide technical support, track IT assets, and respond to IT requests. This hybrid position requires proficiency in remote support.
Core Functions
Asset Management
· Maintain an accurate and up-to-date asset database in Asset Panda.
· Ensure hardware inventory accuracy across tools (Asset Panda and Intune).
· Procure IT equipment as needed.
· Adhere to asset disposal procedures.
· Assist with hardware receiving and tracking.
· Properly code purchased assets in IT and Accounting systems.
· Monitor and initiate purchases, based on IT inventory levels.
User and Account Management
· Onboard and offboard employe, including network access and account management.
· Conduct user profile audits, ensuring cancellation of any unused licenses and accuracy of contact information.
· Distribute and configure IT equipment.
· Train new employees on basic PC use.
General IT Support
· Manage and resolve IT tickets using Jira Service Management.
· Contribute to IT projects and initiatives.
· Provide end-user support for software and hardware.
· Install and configure IT equipment and software.
· Maintain and update software applications.
· Stay current on IT trends and technologies.
· Coordinate with the MSP to resolve IT issues.
· Escalate IT issues to IT team and MSP as needed.
Compensation
Based on job duties and requirements, this position has an hourly range of $25.00 - $28.00 per hour. Initial placement will be based on hired candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Requirements
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED.
· 2+ years of IT asset management or related IT experience.
· Experience managing hardware or software licensing.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong organizational and analytical skills.
· Strong communication skills.
Preferred:
· 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
· Experience with asset management software.
· Helpdesk experience.
· Healthcare setting experience.
