Responsible for the Information Technology infrastructure of El Salvador which provides IT services such as end-user service desk support, server, and network infrastructure administration, telecommunications support, and vendor management, and procurement.
The IT Infrastructure Manager will be a leader within the Technology Solutions Delivery organization providing strategic direction and day-to-day leadership and management to a group of IT System Engineers, IT Support Engineers, and Service Desk Technicians.
JOB DUTIES
- Manage the day-to-day activities, goals, and training for the current EL Salvador IT resources
- Optimize costs of organization-wide infrastructure services through internal and external vendors and partners.
- Leads the design, specification, configuration, installation, and maintenance of local area network hardware, software and telecommunication services, and internet providers.
- Facilitates communication between management, staff, and customers to ensure an effective approach to the implementation of IT solutions.
- Research and recommend purchases on hardware purchases and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Monitor system health/availability using existing tools.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 8-10 years of IT infrastructure experience
- 4-5 years of supervisory experience, management a plus
- 2 -3 years experience with configuring, and maintaining Cisco Meraki Networking hardware, including Next-gen Firewalls, Layer3, and Layer 2 Switching and Wireless Access Points or similar technology
- 2-3 years experience with Server virtualization technology and cloud technology
- 1-2 years experience with Monitoring tools and Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- 1-2 years of experience with Administrating Active Directory across the organization
- 2-3 years experience with Office365 Environment (managing company tenant, user licenses, and Azure AD)
- Bilingual – English professional speaking
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL Certifications are a plus
