ARSIEM is looking for an Information Systems Security Officer/Manager - Level 3. This position will support one of our Government clients in Lexington, MD.
Responsibilities
- Security Management: Oversee security management and ensure full compliance with RMF, DoDI, NIST 800-53 Rev 4, JSIG, and NISPOM standards. Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) and IAVM procedures.
- Compliance and Auditing: Lead vulnerability assessments, system audits, and compliance monitoring with ACAS, SCAP, and eMASS to detect and address security risks.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for networks, firewalls, and encryption; advise on advanced security practices and emerging threats.
- Documentation and Accreditation: Prepare and review security documentation for system accreditation, including hardware, software, and network boundaries for avionics and Platform IT (PIT).
- System Monitoring and Incident Response: Continuously monitor for security incidents, manage responses to cyber threats, and mitigate risks to data and applications.
- Leadership and Training: Mentor and support a team of ISSOs and Systems Administrators, promoting a security-focused environment and providing training on compliance and risk management.
Minimum Experience
- With Degree: 8+ years in Information Systems Security or a related field.
- Without Degree: 10+ years in Information Systems Security or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications (at least one required): CGRC/CAP, CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, SSCP, Security+, GSEC, CISSP
- Risk Management Framework processes
- Network Intrusion Detection (e.g., HBSS)
- Vulnerability management tools (e.g., ACAS, SCAP)
- Security documentation tools (e.g., eMASS)
- Windows, Linux, and cloud security environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)
- Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN) Base Kit (OBK)
- Offboard Mission Support systems and applications
- Strong analytical and leadership skills
- Effective communicator, capable of presenting complex security information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Previous experience supporting the Joint Strike Fighter program is highly beneficial
Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active DoD SECRET clearance with eligibility for additional access. You must be a US Citizen for consideration.
