About the Role:
Ndustrial is seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing energy and control system data, assisting customers with troubleshooting their systems and identifying opportunities to use our software and other tools to find operational or energy related efficiencies. You will be working closely with clients to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of their refrigeration equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial refrigeration, particularly in both cold storage and industrial contexts, and will possess the ability to work independently. You will identify efficiencies, operational best practices, assist in sales cycles for applicable prospects, and contribute to scoping enhancements for the ColdOS product offering. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in refrigeration technology
- Design, analyze and optimize industrial refrigeration systems for various applications
- Conduct energy audits and assessments to determine opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor refrigeration solutions
- Ensure all systems meet local, state, and federal regulations
- Develop documentation for system designs, process flows, and project reports
- Provide training and support for clients on refrigeration operations
- Participate in ongoing research and development of innovative refrigeration technologies
- Monitor system performance, identifying any issues and recommending corrective action
Requirements
- Able to perform field surveys of customer sites, domestic and international travel up to 50%
- Relevant certification in industrial refrigeration (e.g., RETA CARO, CIRO)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Refrigeration engineer
- Foreign language proficiency would be an advantage (Spanish and/or Portuguese)
- Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration operations & design - specifically CO2 and ammonia
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency practices within the refrigeration sector
- Experience with local and federal refrigeration regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of IoT and automation technologies related to refrigeration is a plus
