Job Summary
The Industrial Hygiene & Occupational Health Manager at DFL will lead efforts to ensure a safe and healthy workplace by identifying potential hazards and developing effective strategies to mitigate risks. This role involves advising management, conducting studies, and overseeing occupational health programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of employee exposure to hazardous conditions and evaluate health risks.
- Collaborate with management to address occupational health issues and implement solutions.
- Design and execute studies to monitor health risks and the effectiveness of safety programs.
- Work closely with plant personnel to identify employees exposed to health hazards.
- Coordinate with medical officers to ensure regular health check-ups for at-risk employees.
- Oversee biological monitoring programs and analyze research data for reporting.
- Develop ergonomic programs to enhance employee health and comfort.
- Perform regular audits of occupational health programs and initiatives.
- Educate employees on health concerns and safety regulations through training sessions.
- Implement corrective actions and enforce safety protocols as needed.
- Stay updated on occupational health and safety legislation and best practices.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience of working in a chemical process industry in a similar role.
- Proficient knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient computer skills.
