We are Skeleton Technologies, a Global Cleantech 100 company and the global technology leader in fast energy storage. We have acquired a former European Batteries Plant in Varkaus to increase manufacturing capacity and accelerate R&D processes. With this strategic expansion, Skeleton Technologies will accelerate the development and production of its SuperBattery and other new energy storage products on its technology roadmap. This ramp-up of manufacturing and R&D capacity will strengthen Skeleton’s position to serve the market needs for high-power fast-charging energy storage, and explore new technologies.

Industrial Engineer Assembly


to join our team and play a vital role in successful launch of SuperBattery assembly processes in Varkaus and ensure continuous support and improvement of Assembly technologies and production capabilities.

Within your position you will be dealing with the following topics:

  • Technology Implementation: Adopt advanced Assembly technologies to enhance performance and production.
  • Production Support: Lead shop floor activities to meet output and OEE targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen for process enhancements.
  • Data Analysis: Identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Documentation: Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Equipment Optimization: Collaborate on improving equipment performance and reliability.
  • Project Management: Lead process improvement initiatives from start to finish.
  • Process Development: Design and optimize Assembly processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Training & Support: Train production staff on new processes and procedures.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Cost Reduction: Implement savings initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Innovation: Integrate new coating technologies into existing processes.

Requirements

  • MSc/BSc  in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial experience, preferably within the battery  or process industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards; familiarity with IATF 16949 is a strong advantage.
  • Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex quality issues.
  • Proficiency in calibration management and maintaining measurement systems to required standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Fluent in Finnish and English languages.
