IDE is currently looking for a dynamic and ambitious Import-Export Control Officer to join the Imports - Exports team.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- monitoring incoming and outgoing shipments.
- communicating with transportation companies to ensure smooth and timely delivery of shipments.
- market assessment and negotiation with transportation companies.
- coordinating and handling the shipment process, including documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices and export/import documentation) and customs clearance.
- ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- arranging transportation (trucking, shipping, and air freight) to meet the specific needs of each shipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant required.
- At least two (2) years of working experience in imports/exports and transportation procedures.
- Very good knowledge of the English language.
- Excellent use of MS Office, especially MS Excel & Word.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP will be an asset.
