ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish.

Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.
 

World Relief Quad Cities seeks IFRP part time caseworker to support the Immigrant Family Resource Program (IFRP) team as they secure resources, benefits, and assistance for refugees and immigrants. By working closely with the IFRP Manager, this position will support the common goal of welcoming refugees and supporting their long-term integration through performing essential tasks related to public benefits.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until 12/31/24 and contingent upon funding extension.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Empower clients to manage their IDHS cases through IDHS Receive IDHS mail, scan and follow up with clients
  • Provide information and referrals to internal and external resources   
  • Collaborate with caseworkers to complete IDHS and WIC applications Organize and participate in WIC and IFRP outreach to ensure the program is known throughout the community     
  • Advocate for other clients' needs Enter case notes into our database systems
  • Other related tasks, as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General knowledge of public benefits
  • Valid driver's license, access to reliable vehicle and clean driving record are preferred.
  • Experience in Social Work or related fields (Preferred)
