Responsibilities

• Develop image processing algorithms for images taken by multi-spectral satellite cameras,
• Support pre-launch and post-launch calibration activities,
• Support the focal plane assembly characterization activities,
• Implement the image processing pipeline for individual payload,
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers for the continuous development of the image processing pipeline,
• Develop AI algorithms for satellite based remote sensing applications,
• Design, customize and utilize ML/DL models,
• Develop and implement geospatial data processing workflows, including radiometric correction, atmospheric correction, and geometric correction of satellite imagery,
• Utilize GIS modeling and analysis techniques to derive insights from satellite imagery for applications such as land cover classification, change detection, and environmental monitoring,
• Design and implement custom GIS models, algorithms, and workflows to automate data processing tasks and optimize spatial analysis,
• Integrate satellite imagery with other geospatial data sources (e.g., GPS, survey data, LİDAR) to ensure comprehensive and accurate spatial analysis,
• Follow the SOTA on ML/DL and report.

Requirements

• Bachelor's / Master's or preferably Doctorate degree from the Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or relevant departments with a strong background in digital signal processing,
• At least 2 years of experience in image processing and computer vision,
• Knowledge and experience in satellite based remote sensing applications,
• Strong knowledge and understanding of image formation, image processing and computer vision, statistical signal processing,
• Strong background in C/C++, Python and Octave,
• Understanding of geometric and radiometric effects on electro-optical payloads,
• Knowledge and experience in Linux operating systems, shell scripting and software version control (e.g. git, svn, etc.),
• Knowledge and experience in on-board image processing hardware,
• Knowledge and experience in ML/DL model development, optimization, and deployment is a plus,
• Experience with at least one ML/DL frameworks, e.g. Tensorflow, Pytorch, etc. is a plus,
• Experience on GIS analysis of satellite imagery and GIS tools is a plus,
• Very good English proficiency in reading, writing and speaking,
• Initiative and proactive to find the best and fastest way to get the right decision.
