We're seeking a dedicated IFRS Reporting Manager to join our dynamic team.
This role requires a thorough understanding of IFRS accounting standards and experience with SEC financial reporting. You will be a key player in understanding IFRS technical accounting matters and play a key role in preparing SEC financial statement footnote disclosures in collaboration with various departments.
The IFRS Reporting Manager will report to the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.
THE CHALLENGE
- Support the preparation of annual SEC 20-F annual report working closely with legal, investor relations, and internal audit departments.
- Research and interpret new accounting standards and SEC regulations, assessing their impact on the company, and provide training to the finance team on new and revised standards.
- Prepare memorandums on complex accounting issues and transactions, including but not limited to impairment, business combinations, share-based compensation.
- Draft financial footnote disclosures and collaborate with other members of the accounting team to ensure supporting footnote tie-out files are tested for completeness and accuracy.
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, IAS 38 internally generated intangible asset requirements to deliver process efficiencies and SOX control improvements.
- Work closely with rewards team and payroll expert to ensure accurate and compliant processing of equity award transactions and related accruals.
- Support the financial close processes including ad-hoc tasks such as preparing manual journal entries and performing flux analysis.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with SOX requirements (first line).
- Support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
YOUR PROFILE
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a CPA or equivalent certification, is required.
- As an ideal candidate, you possess over 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in an accounting role, with Big 4 experience being a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of SEC regulations and IFRS/US GAAP (IFRS preferred or willingness to learn IFRS is required).
- Proven experience in researching and interpreting complex accounting standards and SEC rules.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple competing priorities on a regular basis, and meet deadlines without sacrificing the ability to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
