Your Mission:

Join our team as an outstanding Lead for Identity & Access Management (IAM) overseeing IAM from the 2nd Line across Bitpanda. You will be responsible for challenging, controlling, reporting and advising on IAM governance and risks relating to Bitpanda’s ICT and physical strategy, processes, architecture and solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring Bitpanda’s identities, technology and workplace access are robust and continue to evolve.

You will report to the CISO and will be a key member of Bitpanda’s growing CISO Office.

What you’ll do:

Lead oversight of IAM, including governance, architecture, and roadmap/planning, in alignment with Bitpanda’s ICT Risk Management Framework and technology architecture.
Act as the point of contact for Bitpanda’s Security and Technology teams, helping them manage and improve IAM related processes and technology.
Perform control testing at planned intervals to assess effective IAM control implementation, and advise risk owners on assessment and treatment of identified risks.
Oversee the evolving IAM landscape, conduct regular awareness and training sessions, and ensure IAM holds up the high standard of Security Bitpanda is committed to.
Coordinate IAM control assessments, oversee relevant events or incidents, participate in IAM audit engagements as needed, and support senior management in aligning IAM with organisational goals.

Who you are:

5-10 years experience in financial services or financial technology, managing IAM control activities, and possessing strong knowledge of technical and physical identity and access procedures, related processes, and frameworks.
Subject-matter-expert in IAM, particularly from a 2nd Line risk management perspective, and familiar with engineering standards and information technology, including outsourced (SaaS) services.
Ability to understand end-to-end IAM risks and integrate a control framework throughout the organisation, bringing IAM topics to life and embedding high-output, low-friction practices.
A self-starter capable of operating in an ever-changing environment, consistently demonstrating leadership and ownership.
Nice to have: Relevant certifications such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO27k1 or other related certifications.
