Job Description
We are currently seeking a proficient Identity and Access Manager to ensure that the right individuals have access to our company’s technology systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing identity and access management systems, reviewing user access rights, and maintaining access policies.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of identity and access management principles, as well as familiarity with a wide range of identity management tools.
The role requires an individual who can create secure systems that still facilitate ease of user access.
Primary Job Role:
The Identity and Access Manager is responsible for managing the systems and processes that ensure the correct users have appropriate access to IT Systems and Platforms. Ensure access is granted at the right levels and within the necessary time frames.
Design, implement and maintain identity and access management systems
Analyze user access requirements and develop access policies
Perform regular audits to ensure security protocols are not being breached
Manage user identities and determine their access rights
Ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations
Investigate any irregularities in system access
Develop strategies to handle security incidents and coordinate responses to such incidents
Train staff on security protocols and the use of identity management software
Work closely with all IT departments and relevant business functions to align system protocols with company needs
Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and manage a team of IAM specialists, including defining goals, setting priorities, and managing performance.
Stakeholder Communication: Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders across the organization, including IT, HR, legal, and executive teams.
Strategic Vision: Ability to align IAM strategy with the overall business objectives and adapt to changing business needs and technological advancements.
Experience and Qualification
Proven work experience in identity and access management roles
Experience with identity management software such as Okta, Microsoft Identity Manager or Oracle Identity Management
Excellent knowledge of cyber security principles and data privacy laws
Familiarity with cloud platforms and directory services
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
Certification in Cybersecurity or Identity and Access Management is a plus
Additional Information
Job Title: Identity and Access Manager
Work Environment: This role is primarily office-based but may require some travel to attend meetings or conduct site visits.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director Environments
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
