The Role

As a Hygiene Supervisor at our Distribution Centre in Burnley you will be responsible for leading a team of Hygiene Operatives within the Hygiene Department. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our facilities. You will have the ability to inspire and motivate your team to deliver great results.

Please note this will be Monday - Friday PM

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the hygiene team, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Ensure that all hygiene practices comply with company policies and industry regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, incidents, and maintenance requests, and prepare reports for management.
  • Lead by example, motivating and supporting the hygiene team to achieve high performance and job satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve any hygiene-related issues or concerns quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate cleaning activities and ensure a seamless workflow across all areas.

More about you

  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
  • Strong knowledge of hygiene standards and regulations
  • Experience in developing and implementing hygiene schedules and protocols
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with health and safety protocols
  • Proficient in MS Office
