The primary role of this position will be to assemble hydraulic power units of varying size and complexity and testing and troubleshooting of various fluid power products. Specifically, you will:
Essential Functions
- Pull necessary parts to prepare for assembly.
- Inspect parts and various components.
- Build units according to engineering specifications, including, but not limited to:
- Component layout
- Fabricating miscellaneous brackets and structures
- Selection of appropriate tubing and fittings
- Tube bending, fabrication and installation
- Prep and / or test completed unit.
- Adjust components and equipment and perform troubleshooting to identify and correct issues.
- Prep and / or paint completed unit.
- Clean, organize, and maintain the Shop and Shop equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.
- Potentially travel offsite to help start systems at customer’s facilities.
Experience, Education and Skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent OR combination of related training and experience.
- 1+ years’ experience in fluid power assembly required.
- 3+ years experience preferred.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude required.
- General metal working & pipe fitting experience preferred.
- GMAW carbon steel welding experience preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, fluid power and electrical schematics/drawings.
- Physical Requirements—Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Position requires standing, bending and kneeling 95% to 100% of the workday.
