A hybrid development representative (HDR) will be responsible for generating quality sales opportunities for our Toast Account Executives. An HDR will perform outreach to a mix of prospective restaurants, some of which have interacted with Toast in the past, while others have not, with the goal of getting in touch with restaurant owners to determine if they’d be a good fit to use Toast at their establishment. Daily outreach consists of warm and cold calls, emails, and social media touch points.
After performing as an HDR to get a taste of a multitude of pipeline generation activities, we expect HDRs to specialize into one of our other XDR positions: Account Development Representative (ADRs), Sales Development Representative (SDRs), or Business Development Representative (BDRs). High performing ADRs, SDRs and BDRs have the opportunity to promote into closing roles and become Toast’s future Account Executives.

The estimated Total Targeted Cash compensation range for this role is listed below. Total Targeted Cash for this role consists of a base salary, commission, plus the eligibility for equity and/or other benefits. This role qualifies for uncapped commissions. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
