Vivo Energy Mauritius is recruiting a Human Resources Trainee for a duration of 1 year under the Youth Employment Programme. As a Human Resources Trainee, candidate will assist the HR department in various tasks related to recruitment, employee relations, training, and administrative functions. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in HR operations and an opportunity to learn about the fundamental principles of human resources management within a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities: 

1. Recruitment Support:

   - Assist in job postings on various platforms and websites.

   - Screen resumes and applications to identify potential candidates.

   - Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates.

   - Participate in conducting initial interviews.

2. Employee Relations:

   - Support the HR team in maintaining employee records and databases.

   - Assist in organizing employee events, workshops, and training sessions.

   - Help address employee inquiries and concerns, providing basic support and guidance.

   - Contribute to fostering a positive work environment through engagement initiatives.

3. Administrative Tasks

   - Help maintain and update HR documents, including employee handbooks and organizational charts.

   - Support in organizing and maintaining HR files, both physical and digital.

   - Aid in conducting research on HR best practices and industry trends.

4. Learning and Development

   - Collaborate with HR team members to develop and update training materials.

   - Assist in scheduling and coordinating employee training sessions.

   - Participate in training sessions to gain insights into various HR functions.

5. Special Projects

   - Support HR projects as assigned, which may include diversity initiatives, performance management processes, or wellness programs.

   - Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving HR processes and practices.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience

- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Prior internship experience in HR or related fields is a plus.
