HR SUPERVISOR POSITION: 2nd Shift
POSITION SUMMARY: This position will supervise and coordinate activities of professional level and administrative support for employees engaged in employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action and employment equity programs, and/or personnel research.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Supervises the day-to-day administration of personnel policies and practices at assigned location
- Oversees and assigns employee training and orientation programs
- Oversees the administration of compensations and benefits programs at the location to ensure these programs are in line with corporate programs
- Recommends program changes or enhancements to meet human resource requirements
- Submits budget recommendations for personnel operations
- Coordinates the delivery of effective affirmative action, and other employee relations programs
- Assists with the preparation of separation notices for employees separating with cause and may conduct exit interviews to determine reason behind separations
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover
- May represent company at personnel-related hearings and investigations
- Advocating for employees, ensuring that their concerns and issues are communicated to management.
- Maintaining and updating all display boards, electronic monitors, paperwork, signage and visual displays at Pilgrim’s, in accordance with the Policy and Procedures Manual.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or additional related work experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement
• 3-5 years previous experience is required
• In-depth working knowledge of Employment Laws/Regulations and Human Resources policies and procedures
• Considerable skill in problem solving, conflict resolution, and dealing with confidential information/situations
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Working knowledge of benefits administration and management practices
• Basic understanding of Training Program and further development of team members
• Good computer skills including competency in Microsoft Excel and Word Software
