Human Resources Intern - Summer 2024

Smartly is looking for a Human Resources intern to join our People Team! In this role, you will assist our Americas Human Resources team with administrative tasks and various people initiatives.

Successful candidates should be sociable, have excellent problem solving skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential. This is a great learning opportunity and a chance to be a part of our broader global People team.

As a Human Resources Intern you will…

• Support the HR Team on various projects from administrative tasks (I-9’s, onboarding, etc.) to culture and inclusion initiatives
• Partner with payroll and benefits on ongoing projects and employee inquiries  
• Respond to employee questions in a timely manner and process a variety of employment-related changes within HRIS platform (Workday and ADP)
• Explore creative ways to engage the employe population including global wellness initiatives, recognition program, and inclusion efforts
• Work with our Americas HR Generalist to assist with the entire employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding
• Collaborate on an exciting final project involving our People and Culture efforts, corporate responsibility, and inclusion & belonging
• Assist on ad-hoc projects relating to Human Resources

We are looking for you if you have…

• Full-time rising junior or rising senior, currently enrolled at an accredited 4-year College or University or a recent college graduate
• Are working toward a degree program which aligns with their area of interest such as Human Resources Management or Business Administration
• Legally authorized to work in the US
• Interest in Ad-Tech and/or Digital Advertising

In this role you will have exposure to sensitive and confidential information, so discretion and good judgment are required.

Interns will be expected to work 30 hours/week (M-Th) on-site in our Lower Manhattan office. The internship will run from June 3rd through August 9th and is a paid opportunity ($20/hour).
