Human Resources (HR) Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Human Resources department initially for our French entity Proxinvest Glass Lewis. Over time, additional European HR responsibilities will be added. This position reports to the HR Director based in Ireland.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding for both permanent and temporary staff.
  • Responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the business, employees and management.
  • Coordinate with the Global Payroll Manager to ensure timely and accurate payroll processes and changes.
  • Responsible for issuing and maintaining compliant employee contracts and records.
  • Coordinate with the global HR department to administer and execute Human Resources programs including but not limited to benefits, performance and talent management, recognition, and training and development.
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of French employment law, employment trends and best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies and talent management.
  • As part of the larger HR team, implement and maintain the regional compensation program.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions by collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies for positions.
  • Establish and maintain department records and reports.
  • Responsible for all immigrations matters and permit applications in the region.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Performance management and conflict resolution experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in France with broader knowledge of HR practices in Europe, Germany a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of French payroll is a distinct advantage.
  • Written and verbal Fluency in English and French.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience with work permit applications an advantage.
  • Experience with works council and administering of collective bargaining agreements required.
  • Experience working with international companies a plus.
