In this role, you will work as a well-rounded HR professional helping PSI streamline onboarding and training for clinical research professionals, and support all personnel-related matters. You will partner with Country Management and work closely with colleagues and counterparts from other offices and quickly adjust to a growing company.
The scope of responsibilities will include:
HUMAN RESOURCES
- Responsible for full cycle onboarding and offboarding of staff.
- Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations and updates HR policies, practices and other mandatory documents accordingly (under supervision).
- Maintains staff attendance logs and verifies absence/leave justifications.
- Administers employee benefits and manages applicable vendor’s selection, contact and billing process in accordance with local requirements.
- Conducts and reviews employee surveys and their analysis.
- Coordinates local/regional meetings and events.
- Conducts or acquires background checks in accordance with local laws.
- Assists with employment-related inquiries and requests.
- Generates and coordinates full cycle signature of employment amendments and work certificates.
- Attends and conducts exit interviews of staff leaving the company.
PAYROLL
- Provides monthly information for calculation of salaries, tax forms, absence reports, ensuring confidentiality of payroll information.
RECRUITMENT
- May support Talent Acquisition team with the schedule and organization of interviews.
- May support Talent Acquisition team with conduction of interviews and reports on first stage interviews of candidates for entry- and mid-level positions.
TRAINING
- Organizes and conducts induction training of Operations staff.
- Coordinates training activities within Operations between PSI departments and offices.
- Liaises with external providers for organizing training for Operations staff.
- Tracks, monitors and ensures training completion for all staff.
DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
- Maintains PSI CVs, training files, evaluation records.
- Maintains the company HR database and associated applications.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
- Prepares for and attends study and systems audits, both internal and external.
- Participates in the development of departmental QSDs.
- College or university degree in HR or a related field
- At least one year of experience in HR activities, preferably in an international company
- Knowledge of general human resources practices
- Full working proficiency in Portuguese, English & Spanish
- Industry experience in Clinical Research, Pharma, or Biotech is a plus
- PC skills to be able to work with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Communication, presentation and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in international environment and build relationships at all levels
