The Role

Donorbox is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Generalist to join our dynamic team. The HR Generalist will play the primary role in supporting various HR functions for the company, including compliance with labor & employment laws, employee relations, performance management, and general HR administration. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant employment/labor laws and regulations.
  • Be the point person for all internal HR questions and provide guidance and support to managers, employees, and contractors on policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Alongside our Talent Acquisition Associate, be a main point of contact throughout the hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain the employee handbook, policies, and accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Be the main point of contact and liaise with our PEO partner, TriNet, handling all HR and benefits administration. While our accounting team currently handles payroll (via TriNet), this responsibility may transition to you in the future.
  • Handle HR related reimbursement requests from international contractors.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development planning.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including organizing team-building activities and conducting employee surveys to gather feedback. 
  • Support various new HR initiatives, such as structuring employee career paths and salary benchmarking.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 4+ years of similar experience in HR administration, preferably at 100+ person companies. 
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, employment laws, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Bonus

  • Experience working in the SaaS industry and/or at a startup is highly desirable.
  • Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Inclination toward process improvement and optimization
  • Familiarity with international HR (e.g. in Canada) a plus

Details

  • Fully remote based in the US 
  • Salary: $65k-$90k, based on experience and location
