Human Resources (HR) Business Partner – Resident Shows Division
Full-Time Position
 
We are looking for our next HR Business Partner (HRBP)to join our Resident Shows Division (RSD) team. This position is responsible for aligning and enabling business objectives with employees and management for our resident shows. This HRBP will be key in maintaining a positive employee experience and ensuring compliance with employment laws. To be successful in this role, you will need dig deep to understand the business, earn trust across key stakeholders and partners, prioritize in a fast-paced environment and drive People programs with both accuracy and efficiency. This individual will need to demonstrate agility and effective communication skills, both high-level strategic thinking and operational planning ability. In addition, the successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent. It is expected that the HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and communicate them proactively with our Talent department and the business to ensure culture standards are upheld. Our circus moves quickly, so the ideal candidate should be adaptable and have the ability to thrive in this environment
 
The HR Business Partner will have the opportunity to:
-          Act as a single point of contact and support to your assigned Resident Shows and client groups; 
-          Work to understand the big picture of our business; be prepared to recommend actions that unlock and create value and apply them in context and manage the impact;  
-          Advise and assist leaders in various Talent initiatives including: the engagement survey, salary revisions, performance management, succession planning, learning and development, labor relations, budget planning and change management; 
-          Make the employee experience your priority by working in collaboration with the entire Talent team to attract and engage exceptional talent; 
-          Dare to expand your knowledge of new & upcoming human resources concepts and apply them to Cirque’s objectives and our unique culture; 
-          Act as a labor relations expert to minimize legal risks and to ensure consistency in the adherence of policies and procedures;   
-          Make recommendations that add value to our overall business while considering and managing there impact on our employees;   
-          Enhance and adjust our current policies and procedures to assist in the integration of current and acquired employees;  
-          Assist in aligning our HRIS systems to better utilize our systems to their fullest potential; 
-          Complete all other job-related duties as assigned. 
  
What does it take for this role? The following hard skills are the basics of what’s needed to be successful in this position:
-          At least five years of previous experience working in Human Resources; 
-          Curiosity and initiative for being able to identify and create solutions to unique challenges; 
-          Phenomenal credentials and experience as an HR Generalist and/or Business Partner; 
-          Ability to multitask on assignments that are, at times, ambiguous;  
-          Strong knowledge of best practices such as, but not limited to: Compensation, organizational analysis, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws; 
-          A desire to elevate the Talent function while collaborating with all teams; 
-          Fluent in English, both written and spoken;  
-          Verification of the right to work in the United States for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization.
