Horace Mann is a purpose-driven company that is passionate about educators.  The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is an active and trusted member, facilitator, and strategic business partner with the executive and line management teams in an assigned business unit and/or division. This individual acts as a single point of contact for employees and managers within the business unit and leads and manages a broad range of end-to-end human capital programs and services. This role also influences the design and execution of the business strategy through consultative guidance and HR-based solutions and partners with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) and Shared Services to ensure optimal HR collaboration and service level to all clients.

Having a complete understanding of the business in order to assess the HR implications of various business strategies
Leading change management projects and implementing HR best practices
Constructively challenging and confronting customers to resolve issues and facilitate change

You’ll be a great fit if you're: 

A collaborator - you will partner with the executive and management teams of your assigned business unit, and team members within the HR Centers of Excellence to provide consultative guidance and optimal HR solutions to solve issues and complete key projects
A subject matter expert - you work with leaders and HR team members to implement HR best practices
An influencer - as someone with specialized knowledge and insight, you will lead change management projects through influence

Minimum Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - along with 5 years in an HR Business Partner role preferred OR 4 to 6 years of broad human resources experience in various areas of expertise.
Advanced analytical and decision-making skills
Moderate travel

Pay Range:

$110,700.00 - $173,900.00

Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
