Fluidra’s looking for a HR Business Partner to join our team in Sparks, MD.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Human Resources, the HR Business Partner position requires a talented, driven, experienced HR professional who can work closely with management across all key areas as a business partner to assess and anticipate HR-related needs in order to develop creative and proactive solutions.
Based in our Sparks, MD office the HRBP will be a driven, self-starter demonstrating expertise across all HR functions This position must be able to utilize core skills such as communication, influencing, facilitation, problem resolution and critical thinking to implement HR initiatives and resolve HR concerns. Additionally, you will:

Develop and implement HR practices and objectives that create a high performing, employee-centric culture that emphasizes our cores values and supports our business goals.
- Provides HR expertise in employee relations, policy guidance & interpretation and compliance.

Manages and participates in facilitation/problem resolution on issues related to employee relations, performance & talent management, FMLA/ADA/leaves of absences, and employee discipline; advises both employees and management on employee relations policies, procedures, and documentation; researches, identifies, and analyzes specific employee relations concerns and makes appropriate recommendations to managers.
- Conducts regular meetings with respective business units to review metrics, employee concerns, employee development & performance, succession planning, terminations/exits and other changes impacting the employees in the department.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Identify future hiring needs and collaborate with department managers to develop job descriptions.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Compile and maintain confidential and sensitive information such as personnel files; ensure documents are current, complete, and accurate.
- Assist with special events, and various other projects and activities, as assigned.
WHAT WE SEEK

7+ years’ experience in Human Resources, Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong project management, presentation and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Maryland and federal employment and wage/hour laws
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with business leaders

- Approachable, professional, positive attitude that leads to the creation of effective relationships with internal and external customers
- High integrity, capable of maintaining confidentiality, worthy of trust; credibility is built upon integrity and professionalism

Ability to work in a demanding and dynamic fast paced environment with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines
- Must have experience in handling and resolving complex employee relations issues and investigations, FMLA/ADA/Accommodations
EDUCATION
-
BA/BS Degree required (major in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Labor Relations, Business Management or related field preferred)
- Professional Designation: PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred
