Karbon is hiring a Human Resources Administrator who is passionate about delivering an amazing people experience. As our Human Resources Administrator, you will provide top-notch internal and external customer service, working closely with the entire global organization to promote and maintain an environment that focuses on collaboration and teamwork, support, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you'll have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of human resources. From using templates to populate important letters, to HRIS admin and ensuring our new Karbonites globally get set up for success in their onboarding, you'll be at the heart of our HR operations. This is a fast paced dynamic role that will suit someone who is passionate about Human Resources, but also able to move quickly and have the insight to ask and research when needed. You'll receive hands-on coaching, development, and mentorship from both the Vice President of People & Places and the Manager of Talent Acquisition, providing you with exciting learning and growth opportunities.

About the role

Reporting to the Vice President of People & Places, the Human Resources Admin will play a pivotal role in ensuring every candidate receives a stellar onboarding and employee experience. Your contribution to the day-to-day global operations of the People team will be invaluable, and you will be the first point of contact for general inquiries regarding benefits, time off and leave policies, and more.

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining our HRIS (BambooHR) and keeping all records up-to-date
  • Facilitating onboarding and offboarding processes 
  • Procuring employee assets
  • Responding to incoming employee requests
  • Administration and calendar management for the VP of People & Places
  • Coordinating new employee onboarding including assisting with first-day activities, scheduling training sessions, etc.
  • Creating and reviewing letters and contracts
  • Employment verifications 
  • Scheduling and facilitating key employee events and leadership programs
  • Running various reports for the Karbon team 
  • Aiding and facilitating Karbon’s DEIB Progam and projects 
  • Collaborating with external partners on key projects
  • Providing administrative support to key initiatives at Karbon
  • Assisting the People team and Talent team with ad-hoc projects as needed

About You

Candidates with the following skills and experience are encouraged to apply:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar Human Resources / People Operations role
  • Prior experience/proficiency with an HRIS software BambooHR is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable speaking infront of others in zoom calls (you’d be helping coordinate new hire orientation globally)
  • A high degree of attention to detail
  • A sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Passionate about providing our candidates and employees with a superb people experience, from interviews and beyond
  • Previous startup experience a plus
