KKR’s Global Benefits function is looking for an experienced Global Benefits Operations Support Specialist to support the operational processes associated with administering benefits offered in the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions. Based in Gurugram, this individual will be responsible for executing on the day-to-day benefits operations for our global employee population. This is a challenging role where you will use your analytical and operational skills to help the regional team members manage KKR’s global benefits programs and execute the benefits and wellness strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for the EMEA, APAC and AMRS benefits administrative tasks such as the processing and reconciling invoices, managing the enrolment and termination process with local brokers/insurers, addressing eligibility file errors and fulfilling census/data requests.
  • Manage, code, process and reconcile benefits invoices, track account funding and billing on a global basis.
  • Enrol and terminate employees in insurance carrier systems for vendors who do not receive enrollment files from KKR (EMEA and APAC) and distribute ID cards.
  • Support eligibility management in Workday, including addressing integration file feed errors, updating individual rates, submitting calculations and data updates, and reviewing and approving life event submissions (U.S.).
  • Respond to and compile data requested for purposes of audits, reporting, surveys, census files, quarterly cost accruals, one-time payments, etc.
  • Partner with KKR’s internal Accounts Payable, Payroll, Finance, HRIS and Benefits and Wellness teams, in addition to external consultants and benefits vendors to help administer existing programs.
  • Track benefits utilization/spend and support local tax-reporting requirements, such as P11D reporting in the UK.
  • Generate and send eligibility files to vendors who do not receive automated eligibility files from KKR.
  • Support new vendor onboarding by managing the establishment of eligibility files, setting up invoicing processes, researching taxability of benefits and partnering with Payroll to develop payroll processes.
  • Provide analytical support for benefits utilization/budget tracking.
  • Conduct time off and accrual tracking as well as provide annual regulatory program support relative to time off reporting and reminders in EMEA and APAC.
  • Support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements, such as US 1095 reporting, CMS reporting, 401(k) non-discrimination testing, dependent care FSA testing, and other U.S. and non-U.S compliance requirements.
  • Create and maintain benefits process documents for business continuity purposes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the benefits administrative processes.
  • Liaise with Finance/Payroll on fitness reimbursement and tax preparation payment reporting, one-time payments, tuition reimbursement requests, and leave of absence adjustments.
  • Support the collection of benchmarking data to inform decision making on local benefits industry practices.
  • Support the team with responding to employee issue escalations and liaise with benefits vendors, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with employee benefits and wellness plan delivery, preferably on a global basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of HR/Benefits administration experience
  • Experience using Workday, Concur and Coupa a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of benefits including healthcare, mental health, risk, work-life (i.e., family building and support) and retirement plans, along with plan administration and associated payroll processes
  • Motivated self-starter with a successful record of documenting operational processes and refining existing processes to be more efficient
  • Experience working in a dynamic, matrixed, fast-paced, and pressurized environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time management
  • Acute attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and accuracy
  • Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources and suggest potential solutions for problems
  • Collaborative team player with a focus on customer service
  • Strong sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
