HSS Advisor

As HSS Advisor your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Have the role as HSS Advisor for the project portfolio, all projects within onshore wind, solar power, and grid systems advising the project managers on HSS matters from early development throughout to operations handover.
  • You will coach, manage and follow-up our local HSS resources designated for each project.
  • Liaison with contractors HSS staff in construction projects 
  • Contribute to the establishment of a good HSS culture in the projects - including project kick-offs
  • Participate in relevant activities in all phases of project development and acquisitions 
  • Carry out HSS reviews, inspections and audits across the business area’s activities 
  • Lead or participate in investigations of serious incidents 
  • Assurance, investigation and other support HSS activities to projects elsewhere in our project portfolio is expected (outside UK)
  • Be responsible for the implementation of efficient HSS work processes in our projects in the UK in accordance with Statkraft governance, also cooperating with UK HSS 
  • Liaison with authorities and government bodies, including participation in safety forums and technical committees on behalf of Statkraft 
  • University degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Relevant experience within the HSS in an industrial work environment
  • IOSH & NEBOSH Trained
  • Knowledge of ISO:45001
  • Practical experience from execution of large construction projects, preferably within the renewable energy industry
  • Detailed knowledge of UK HSS legislation and CDM Regulations 2015
  • Result oriented, structured and flexible with ability to create good work relations
  • A team player, who can work independently and with ability to drive the HSS improvement work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
