Key Responsibilities  
 

HSO International is seeking to hire a highly experienced Cloud and Data Strategist with a proven track record to step into a senior role within the business and work with our international clients. The ideal candidate will be capable of displaying their experience in building senior customer relationships and inspiring and guiding them on their cloud journey. 

The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience as a Cloud Strategist, Cloud Architect, Enterprise Architect, CIO, CTO, or similar role, with expertise in Microsoft cloud and data platform solutions. 
 
Job Purpose 

Our Cloud Strategist will work in 3 primary phases across customer engagements: 

1.      Inspire and Engage 

Provide inspiring sessions on the art of the possible to generate compelling arguments for the Microsoft and HSO proposition.

2.      Strategy- and Roadmap Definition and Architectural Design 

Taking direction from the customer and profoundly understanding their constraints, you will run engagements to understand the required capabilities and subsequently design cloud adoption roadmaps, (enterprise) architectures, data strategies, and platforms best suited to them.  

3.      Governance and Account Development 

Once projects are in flight, you will shift to a governance and account engagement role. As a trusted advisor to the client, you will ensure that the projects get started with the envisioned goal in mind, continue to deliver on your roadmap and stay grounded in the strategy of the client. 

 
Role Location 
 
The candidate for this role can be in any European location, given the candidate has full European working rights. Travel will be extensive and varied. It will be a requirement to spend some time in the office to develop relationships in-house with the rest of HSO International, keep abreast of business developments, and understand the company’s approach to the market. 
If desired or needed, HSO International is prepared to assist with relocation to the Netherlands for the suitable candidate. 

Requirements

Must have

• The ability to translate the business strategy of clients to an (IT-driven) transformation roadmap. 

• Experience in guiding the customer leadership team during their cloud and data-driven journey. 

• Proven experience in a role like Senior Enterprise Architect, CTO, Cloud Strategist, Cloud Architect, CIO. 

• Understanding the Microsoft Solution Plays combined with customer needs can turn their vision into workloads that the delivery team can deliver.   

• Engage with and support Account Managers in building strategic relationships with clients and jointly shape go-to-market strategies. 
  

Highly recommended 
 

• Experience with several referenceable cloud and/or data-driven business transformations. 

• Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft cloud and data platforms. 

• Ability to build rapport on CIO level based on personal credibility with clients through past performance and publicly available assets. Possibly in a CIO role in the past. 

• Experience in impactful IT delivery projects in past (senior) roles 

• Candidates will participate in advisory meetings with strategic accounts (as part of a paid engagement).
